About Me
Who am I?
Me in A Snapshot
I come from a long line of English farmers, clergy and entrepreneurs and enterprise, nature and faith remains at the core of family life. In 2005, I married my Beth. We have four teenage children: Freddie, Charles, Wilbur and Felicity.
In 2026, after 20 years around London, we moved to Cornwall to convert Our Cornish Farm into a centre for renewing the relationship between faith and land stewardship.
My professional life has covered real estate, corporate finance, management consulting and executive coaching; advising leaders and boards on strategy, culture and governance. I have also spent 25 years building movements focused on the social and environmental purpose of business, including the UK’s largest and most successful social impact investment fund and as a founding UK B Corp.
A Unique Upbringing
My upbringing floated between two different worlds. One was amongst family and friends who’d inherited or achieved significant wealth, status and opportunity. The other was amongst a community who’d chosen a highly sacrificial, missional life to serve the poor and marginalised as an expression of their Christian faith. Whilst most participants of those communities remained within their own space; my parents constantly moved us (and my four siblings) between the two. It was a unique, highly formative experience: one that continues.
A lifetime spent around Christian spirituality led to me qualifying as a “Spiritual Director”: an ancient role that emerged from Christian monasticism. In the modern era, Spiritual Direction has mostly focused on helping clergy with their spiritual life but in pre modernity, it supported the formation of many high influence individuals: nobility, merchants, knights etc. I apply the breadth of that pedigree here.
